Rishab Shetty To Replace Mohanlal In Randamoozham? MT Vasudevan Nair, the late legendary writer-filmmaker of Malayalam cinema, was keen to adapt his epic novel into a film. Now, after the veteran novelist's demise, Randamoozham is reportedly set to get a film adaptation soon. However, Mohanlal is no longer essaying Bheema in the film, and Rishab Shetty is rumoured to be stepping into his shoes.

Rishab Shetty To Replace Mohanlal In Randamoozham?
The Randamoozham movie adaptation made quite a stir in Malayalam cinema during the mid 2010s, after Mohanlal announced that it is indeed happening. However, the project, which was delayed multiple times, later got shelved. MT Vasudevan Nair even filed a lawsuit against Odiyan fame director VA Shrikumar, who was supposed to helm the project, demanding the script back. Later, Mohanlal confirmed that Randamoozham film adaptation might not happen soon.
After MT Vasudevan Nair's demise, the legend's daughter and popular dancer Ashwathi Nair had confirmed that she is planning to revive the project. Even though it was rumoured that Priyadarshan or actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran might step in to direct the film, it was later revealed to be false. Now, the grapevine suggests that Kantara star Rishab Shetty come on board to direct Randamoozham.
Interestingly, the rumour mills also suggest that Mohanlal is longer a part of the prestigious project. If the reports are to be believed, director Rishab Shetty himself might play the central character Bheema in MT Vasudevan Nair's iconic project, replacing the veteran superstar of Malayalam cinema. However, none of these reports are officially confirmed yet.
If these rumours are to be believed, Rishab Shetty, who is one of the finest talents of the contemporary Kannada cinema, will officially join hands with the Malayalam film industry's most popular actors and technicians for the Randamoozham adaptation. Recently, MT Vasudevan Nair's daughter Ashwathi Nair had confirmed that the project is indeed happening soon. An official announcement on the same is expected to be out very soon.
