Parasakthi OTT Release: Sivakarthikeyan, the popular actor is teaming up with the National award-winning filmmaker Sudha Kongara, for his next outing. The period political drama film, titled Parasakthi, is gearing up to hit the theatres on January 14, 2026, on the special occasion of Thai Pongal. As per the recent updates, the OTT rights of the much-awaited film have been sold.

According to the latest reports, the OTT streaming rights of Parasakthi have been bagged the the leading platform Zee5. The upcoming Sivakarthikeyan starrer is expected to have its OTT release on the platform, after completing 35 to 40 days of its theatrical run. Even though the makers have not officially confirmed the reports yet, the industry trackers suggest that the upcoming period political drama cracked one of the biggest OTT deals of Tamil cinema, in recent times.

If the recent updates are to be believed, the Parasakthi OTT rights were bagged by Zee5 for a whopping price of around ₹52 crore. It is touted to be the career-best OTT deal for the project's leading man, Sivakarthikeyan. According to the recent X (formerly Twitter) post of trade analyst Amutha Bharathi, the satellite rights of the Sudha Kongara directorial are already bagged by the popular Tamil channel, Kalaignar TV.

Parasakthi Plot, Cast And Crew

The Sudha Kongara directorial, which is set against the backdrop of the Madras city of 1965, revolves around a ruthless officer turns up to track down the rebels in the state, Chezhian and his brother Chinna Durai, who have drastically different personalities, are dragged into this battle of justice. Soon, Chezhian, a peaceful man initially, is forced to abandon his nature to protect his people.

Sivakarthikeyan appears as the protagonist in the film which features Ravi Mohan (Jayam Ravi) as the lead antagonist. Sreeleela appears as the female lead in the film which stars Atharvaa in a pivotal role. GV Prakash Kumar has composed the songs and the original score for Parasakthi. Ravi K Chandran is the director of photography. Sathish Surya handles the editing. Parasakthi is produced by Dawn Pictures, and distributed by Red Giant Movies.
