Alangu Story
Alangu is a Tamil social action drama movie written and directed by Sakthivel Perumalsamy. The Malayalam leading stars, Chemban Vinod Jose and Appani Sarath, starred in the main lead role with one trained dog, through which the whole movie starts. In this flick, Kaali Venkat, Sreerekhaa, Regin Rose, Shanmugam Muthusamy, and the small boy Master Ajay also played pivotal roles.
Pandikumar handled the cinematography, while San Lokesh edited the film. Mohanrajan wrote the lyrics for all the songs, which were composed by Ajeesh, and also scored background music. Sabareesh and Sangamithra produced the film under the banner of DG Film Company and Magnas Productions. Moviebuff holds the distribution rights to the film and is working hard to distribute it in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and on social media.
Story
Alangu is a film set in the border region of Kerala and Tamil Nadu, where the people still follow ancient customs and traditions. This bothers some corrupt politicians who want to exploit the villagers for their own gain. The name "Alangu" refers to a dog that was used in battle during the time of Raja Raja Chola. The film explores the villagers' mindset about their traditional way of life and how the politicians try to manipulate them.
Release Date
The movie Alangu is released in theatres in December 27 2024. The movie is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video starting January 19, 2025.
