Azhagan Story

Azhagan is the story of a widower with four children, Azhagappan (Mammootty) who captivates the admiration of three women-Priya Ranjani (Bhanupriya), a dusky complexioned danseuse, Swapna (Madhubala), a mischievous young girl and Janaki (Geetha), a learned teacher. Azhagappan is drawn towards Priya’s dance talent and poise. Swapna, who storms into his house and wins over the children, falls in love with Azhagappan.

Unable to fathom her feelings, he reprimands her and orders out of the house. Janaki, too, falls for him. Azhagappan is caught in a dilemma. Whom does he marry? Watch the film for the climax. Maragathamani has composed the music for the film in which the number ‘Sangeetha Swarangal’ was nicely rendered by S P Balasubramaniam and Sandhya.
