Story
The movie Cuckoo was inspired from a real life story, in fact the director a journalist himself came across this story from a visually impaired person and taking a page out of this, adding all movie ingredients to it, the shape is eventually "Cuckoo" the musical journey.
Attakathi Dinesh (Tamizhand) Malavika (Swatantrakodi) a college going girl, how the unusual couple fall in love amidst their social and economic background forms the plot. Both experience the vibrations of love as they encounter each other.
It all begins as a resentment from Kodi, but later she reciprocates her love for him as well. However, they get to understand their feelings and there begins a beautiful journey of their exceptional saga.
But things take a turn when the crooked brother of Kodi fixes her marriage with another person in greed of money.
Will their soulful love win over the hurdles and get united? is rest of the story to be watched in big screen.
Production
Fox Star Studios in association with The Next Big Film Productions launched the film in July 2013, marking the debut of director Raja Murugan, who had previously assisted Linguswamy in Bheema (2008) and Paiyaa (2010) and also worked as a writer for Ananda Vikatan magazine.
The team completed the making of the film by November 2013, with Dinesh revealing his satisfaction on how the film shaped up. Veteran actor Kamal Haasan revealed the first look of the film in January 2014, with a teaser trailer released thereafter.
