DNA Story

DNA is an crime drama directed by Nelson Venkatesan,  The film stars Atharvaa and Nimisha Sajayan in lead roles, with music composed by Ghibran and cinematography handled by Parthiban D.F.T. It is produced by Jayanthi Ambethkumar under the Olympia Movies banner and presented by S. Ambethkumar. 

Actress Nimisha Sajayan, who impressed audiences in Chiththa, joins hands with Atharvaa, last seen in the popular series Mathagam. This combination, under Nelson’s direction, promises a gripping thriller.

Shooting & First Look

The shooting began with a traditional pooja on October 12, 2024, and will be shot entirely in and around Chennai. The team is aiming for a swift and focused shoot.

The first look poster, released on October 11, 2024, generated buzz with its haunting visuals. It shows a faded newspaper headline “DNA: A Crime That Will Chill Your Blood” with a mysterious face lurking in the dark – setting the mood for an intense thriller.

Plot

A heartbroken husband uncovers a sinister baby-swapping network after his wife insists their newborn isn’t theirs. His investigation leads to a shocking conspiracy involving hospital staff, child trafficking, and a powerful tech businessman. In a final twist of fate, justice is served as the real culprits are exposed and the baby is reunited with its parents.

Story

Anand’s life takes a dark turn after his wife Divya, who has just given birth, insists that the baby handed to her isn’t theirs. Though her claims are initially dismissed as postpartum delusion, Anand begins to suspect the truth and investigates. With help from his friend Venkat and retiring cop Chinnasamy, he uncovers a baby-swapping racket operating within the hospital. The scheme involves a nurse, her unknown twin, and Moorthy, who runs a shady nursing agency. All trails lead to Varadarajan, a tech entrepreneur who, after a 2014 accident, teamed up with Rajendran to run a secret child trafficking ring. In Anand’s case, Varadarajan had planned to sell his baby to a wealthy foreign couple based on astrological timing. Anand ultimately locates his child, confronts Varadarajan, and regains his son. Justice is served when Rajendran’s sons avenge their father’s murder by killing Varadarajan, closing the chapter on a long-buried crime.
