Jigarthanda Story
Jigarthanda is a Tamil movie directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The film has Siddharth and Lakshmi Menon in the lead and is being produced by Kathiresan. The supporting cast includes Soodhu Kavvum's Bobby Simha and Karuna, Guru Somasundaram of Aaranya Kaandam and actor-director Pratap Pothen.
The film is a city-based action drama. The tagline 'A Musical Gangster Story' seems to have summed up the movie well. The shoot of the film started on June 12 in Madurai. The First Look of The Film was released on February 9 2014.
The trailer of Jigarthanda was launched on Feb 3rd at the music launch event and it was also unveiled online a few moments back. The feedback to the trailer has been positive from all corners.
Siddharth - Lakshmi Menon pair looks fresh and Karuna also appears to be having an important role in the movie. But it is Bobby Simha who looks like the biggest revelation in Jigarthanda as a mean, terrorizing gangster. His unkempt style with a shaggy hair style and beard adds more authenticity to his rough character.
Simha's dialogue delivery style and expressions are brilliant. One of his lines in the movie has a trace of what Ajith said in Billa
'Naama Vazhanum, Semaya Vaazhndhandandra madri Vazhanum
Adhukku Thevayana Yedhayum Seyyalam, Yevanayum Kollalam'.
