Kaliyuga Ganapathy revolves around a youth who wants more in life e then the basic needs such as air, food, water, clothing and shelter. So he goes to Lord Ganesa and asks for more luxurious things in life. But Ganesa advices him to be content with what he has and live a happy life.
But the youth goes on pestering the Lord Ganesa. With no other alternative Ganesa heeds to his prayer and gives all that he asks. The hero gets all the luxury in the life but he loses all his happiness and gets depressed. So once again he goes to Lord Ganesa and pleads for his earlier simple life.
