Karungaapiyam Story

Karungaapiyam is a horror-comedy thriller movie written and directed by Deekay. Kajal Aggarwal, Regina Cassandra, and Janani Iyer starred in the lead roles, along with Kalaiyarasan, Aditi Ravindranath, Yogi Babu, and many others in supporting roles.

The cinematography was handled by Vignesh Vasu, and Vijay Velukutty edited the movie. The soundtracks and background music for the movie were composed by S N Prasad. The action scene was choreographed by Don Ashok, and the visual effects are the responsibility of Lorven Studios. This movie was produced by Padarthi Padmaja under the banner of Pave Entertainments. In Tamil Nadu, this movie will be distributed by I Creation and Uthraa Productions.

Plot

Karungaapiyam is a comedic horror thriller movie that tells the story of how people's lives were planned out and everything about the future was written down in the distant past. When Kajal Aggarwal was brutally kicked out of her village by throwing stones at her head, she died and turned into a ghost that imposed vengeance on subsequent generations of villagers. What happened when the familiar person turned into a ghost, and how did they end the game of haunting?

The movie Karungaapiyam will release in theatres on August 15, 2023.
