Komban Story
Komban is a Tamil action - romantic movie direction by debut Muthaiah. The movie has Karthi and Lakshmi Menon in the lead role.
The movie also has Raj Kiran, Karunas and Thambi Ramaiyah in supporting roles. G V Prakash Kumar has done the music and Dileep Subbarayan choreographed the stunt sequence.
Story Line
The movie story is about a relationship between son-in-law and a father-in-law. The movie, set in village backdrops, Kombaya Pandian (Karthi) plays a local rogue who takes pleasure in shooing away thugs and those who aims at disrupting the peace in his locality. In other words he is that hero who fights against wrongdoers and also inspires others to do the same.
The film travels in the course of his marriage with Pazhani (Lakshmi Menon) from the neighboring village raised with more affection by her father Muthaiya (Raj Kiran). While going about his usual business, Kombaya unexpectedly and unfortunately runs into a terrifying villain played by Super Subbarayan. Things change dramatically and with a series of emotional issues that tests the relationship of the family members and it leads to the climax.
Buzz on Komban
Pudhiya Thamizhagam leader Krishnaswamy had filed a case against the release of the film stating that it would incite law and order issue in the southern part of Tamil Nadu and that the title itself is derogatory of a community.
Krishnaswamy is not new to charging at films, and Komban is not the first Tamil film to run into trouble. In 2004, Krishnaswamy had forced actor Kamal Haasan to change the title of his film from Sandiyar to Virumaandi.
Release
Distributors and exhibitors around TN have apparently been informed by Studio Green regarding the movie, that movie release is prepended to April 1, 2015. Earlier it was announced as the April 2nd release.
