Mookuthi Amman Story

Mookuthi Amman is a Tamil comedy-drama movie directed by RJ Balaji and NJ Saravanan. The movie produced by Ishari K Ganesh under Vels Film International. RJ Balaji has written the story, screenplay, and dialogues for the movie. The movie stars Lady Superstar Nayantara and RJ Balaji in the lead roles along with Urvashi, Moulee, and Ajay Ghosh in the supporting roles.

Girishh G has composed the songs and background score for the movie. Dinesh Krishnan is the director of photography. R. K. Selva has handled the editing. Mookuthi Amman released on Disney+ Hotstar on 14 November 2020, during the occasion of Diwali. Earlier it was scheduled to release in theatres in May 2020 but was then postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Plot

Mookuthi Amman revolves around Ramasamy (RJ Balaji), a journalist who belongs to a middle-class family, that consists of his mother (Urvashi) and three sisters. As they struggle to make ends meet, Goddess Mookuthi Amman (Nayanthara) enters their life to change them and the world around them forever.
