Mullayoor Muthu Story

Mullayoor Muthu- in an exceptional movie about a river, a village and the people who loves nature and there fellow-beings. Mullayoor Muthu (Pearl of Mullayoor) takes us back, many years to the simple innocent people who lived by the side of the Mullayoor River-the life-line of the village.

 
Mullayoor River which in inseparably linked to the everyday life of these people also brought occasional surprises in the form of newborn abandoned babies. The goodness of the villagers never allowed them to let go an opportunity to save such babies and bring them up with love and affection. The villagers did not see them as orphans but as Muthus (Pearls) of the village.

 
There is the story of one such ‘Muthu’ adopted by Shivan who himself was ones saved to adopted by the village. Shivan brings up our Muthu with great care and affection and as Muthu comes of age, he Becomes the darling of the village. Also we see many changes coming upon Shivan.
