Nadigaiyar Thilagam in Tamil, is 2018 Telugu - Tamil biographical period movie directed by Nag Aswin and produced by C. Ashwini Dutt's Vyjayanthi Movies Banner. The movie is based on the life of South Indian actress Savitri. Actress Keerthy Suresh plays the titular role, Dulquer Salmaan, Samantha Akkineni, Vijay Devarakonda in other pivotal roles.

Story In Detailed

Nadigaiyar Thilagam is an biopic on the yesteryear legendary actress and the plot is known to the audiences beforehand. The movie starts with a suicide attempt by Savitri (Keerthi Suresh) who slips into a coma. Madhuravani (Samantha) and Vijay Anthony (Vijay Deverkonda), journalists at print media, gets on to the job of covering the life story of Savitri.

Flashback portion begins! Savitri's initial entry into the industry, rise to stardom-superstardom, her midlife struggles and eventually, her downfall in both personal and professional lives. All these bits are packaged in a superior product called Savitri.

The movie Mahanati (Telugu Version) scheduled to release on May 9th and Tamil version scheduled to release on May 11th 2018.
