Rebel Story

Rebel is a story set in the 1980s
Rebel unfolds its narrative against the backdrop of the 1980s, a period marked by the division of Indian states based on language. In this setting, Munnar finds itself included in Kerala rather than Tamil Nadu, resulting in Tamil students being compelled to pursue their college education at Chittur College in Palakkad. Here, they encounter two antagonistic groups: KSQ and SFY, who subject them to humiliation and unnecessary conflicts.
On his inaugural day at college, the protagonist, Kathir, becomes a victim of this mistreatment. As the Onam festival approaches, a seemingly minor issue escalates into a major crisis. In response to these challenges, Kathir initiates the formation of a new faction named TSP in the college elections. The story delves into the ensuing conflicts and whether Kathir ultimately realizes his objectives amidst these trials forms the crux of the narrative.

The theatrical release of Tamil movie Rebel happened on March 22, 2024. Rebel is now streaming on Amazon Prime in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
