Sardar Story

Sardar is an Tamil action-spy thriller movie written and directed by P S Mithran. The star cast includes Karthi in a dual role with Raashii Khanna, Rajisha Vijayan, Chunky Pandey, Laila and Murali Sharma in supporting roles. The film music was composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, with cinematography done by George C. Williams, and film edited by Ruben. The movie was produced by S Lakshman Kumar under the banner of Prince Pictures. The actress Laila's comeback to cinema after sixteen years.

Story in Detail

Vijay Prakash is a cop who is motivated by the urge to clear up his identity that is being overshadowed by the accusations and shame that befell his father. Although he has never even seen him, he grows up with hatred and resentment over his father, as he is the reason Vijay ended up with no family and a lot of shame in the society.

Vijay is in love with a lawyer who drags him into a case that would turn his life upside-down. Eventually this case leads him to his father and how the interaction goes, and where it takes him is the story of the film. The plot takes up an interesting an educational point of water politics on the global front, and how it affects the general public in ways we never imagined.

Release

Sardar is scheduled for theatrical release on Diwali 2022. Distribution rights of the film for the Tamil Nadu region were acquired by Red Giant Movies. The post-theatrical streaming rights of the film were bought by Aha. The satellite rights of the film were sold to Kalaignar TV.

Sardar 2

The sequel to blockbuster movie Sardar, which stars actor Karthi in the lead role, has officially been announced with the title Sardar Part 2. The announcement took place during Sardar's success meet.
