Uru Story

Uru is a Tamil psychological thriller movie written and directed by Vicky Anand and Produced by V.P. Viji. The film stars Kalaiyarasan and Dhansika in the leading roles and features music composed by Johan Shevanesh.

Director Vicky Anand stated that he was inspired by Quentin Tarantino to make films, and had previously assisted director Kalyan during the making of Kaathaadi, before announcing Uru as his debut in November 2016.

Also the director says about the plot line of 'Uru', "Kalaiyarasan plays the role of a young out dated novel writer who writes traditional family Novels, his character is pushed to a state where his style of writing does not interest youngsters and he seems outdated among the new gen writers., so he plans to start his new thriller novel which focuses to attract youngsters, he travels to Megamalai and unusual things happen around him. How he handles them is the rest of the story."
