Vajram Story
Vajram starring in lead roles the boys who starred in successful films such as Pasanga and Goli Sodai would be a hard-hitting statement on the commercialization of education. Ramesh Selvam, who directed the 1998 Vijayakanth starrer Ulavuthurai and Arun Vijay’s Jananam in 2004, is the director of Vajram.
Sree Raam, Kishore, Pandi and Kuttimani, the stars of Pasanga and Goli Soda, play the lead roles in Vajram which has newcomer Bhavani Reddy debuting as the heroine. Others in the cast include Jayaprakash, Thambi Ramaiah, Mayilsamy, ‘Moonar’ Ramesh, Saravanan, Sana and Nagu.
Story:
“Commercialization of education is a huge menace which has afflicted not only India but other countries in the globe as well. Providing education has become a ‘recognized means of looting’ which is spelt out in detail in the film. Instead of being a natural right of every citizen, education is getting costlier with each passing day. The scrip deals with it and the problems faced by today’s generation due to this,” explains Selvan.
The film has been shot in Chennai, Moonar and Chalakudy and is cinematographed by Kumaresan. Faizal has scored the film’s music while Snehan has penned the lyrics. The film is likely to release in the coming 27th february.
