Ajith Kumar's Arrambam is getting ready to have a biggest opening of the year at Tamil Box Office. The movie is hitting the screens with good number of screens on October 31 as a Diwali treat for the Kollywood audience. The film is releasing in foreign countries today (October 30).
The Thala is game to recreate the history at Box Office with his latest movie Arrambam. His last movie Billa 2 did not live up to audience expectations even though his hardcore fans had liked it. Now, with the latest flick, Ajith Kumar wants to return to his good form.
Arrambam started making news after AM Rathnam announced that he was joining hands with Ajith Kumar in 2012. Initially, the news surprised a section of industry as the producer and the actor was not in great terms due to some differences in the past. The cast and crew fell into place after Vishnuvardhan came on board.
Vishnuvardhan, who had given a superhit Billa which starred Ajith Kumar and Nayantara, roped in the same leads for Arrambam. After finalising the cast, the film started its regular shooting in June 2012 in Mumbai. Since then, the Tamil flick has been shot in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Dubai, Rajasthan, Orissa and other places.

The makers of the movie kept the title of the movie in secret for a long time. In the recent years, many small-time filmmakers have tried to create troubles for big movies over title issues and garner free publicity. However, many names were speculated during that time and for a few months, it was referred with the name Valai.
Taking inspiration from Ajith Kumar's earlier avatar (Salt & Pepper) in Mankatha, director Vishnuvardhan decided to have a similar look for Thala in Arrambam. The actor shed a lot of weight to fit his role in the movie after he was criticised for his overweight in Billa 2.
The director has chosen stylish outfits for Ajith Kumar, which is clearly visible in the promotional materials of Arrambam. It has to be noted that the director is known for showing his heroes in their stylish best. Vishnu's wife Anu Vardhan has designed the costumes for the flick.
Ajith's role has two shades in Arrambam. Many reports have emerged on his role, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Some claim that he will be seen in the role of a cop and some believe Thala has done the character of an ethical hacker.
Nayantara will be seen in a glamorous role in the movie, but nothing much has been revealed about her character.
Arya And Taapsee Pannu
Arya and Taapsee Pannu are playing the second fiddles in Arrambam. They play the roles of a couple in the flick. Arya has a lot of comedy scenes.
Interesting Supporting Cast
The supporting cast of Arrambam is very interesting. Seasonal actors like Suman Ranganathan, Kishore, Atul Kulkarni and Mahesh Manjrekar are part of the cast. Telugu actor Rana Daggubati will be seen in a cameo.
Vishnuvardhan has chosen the best in the industry for the technical departments in Arrambam.
Stephen Richter, the man behind the action sequences of Billa 2, has choreographed stunts for Arrambam.
Yuvan Shankar Raja
Yuvan Shankar Raja, who had given a few hits to Ajith Kumar, has composed music for Arrambam. Some of the tracks have become hits.
Om Prakash, who had worked in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi industries, was roped in to handle the camera for Arrambam. Initially, PS Vinod was chosen. The editing department is headed by Sreekar Prasad.
The screenplay of Arrambam has been penned by writers duo SuBha (D Suresh and A.N. Balakrishnan) along with director Vishnuvardhan.
The expectations on Arrambam have obviously raised with all these big names working for the movie.
