It is well-known that Ajith Kumar's Arrambam is hitting the screens for Diwali. But the exact date of the release has not been confirmed. Now, our sources have revealed the date.
The makers of Arrambam are working hard to release the movie not in November, but this month itself. Yes, the movie is likely to hit the screens on October 31. Sources add that Thursday is said to be a lucky day for AM Rathnam. Hence, he wants to release the movie on the afore-mentioned date. Only official confirmation is awaited.
Rajinikanth To Skip 44th IFFI Inauguration
Superstar Rajinikanth was invited to be the chief guest for the inaugural function of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) to be held here in November. Vishnu Wagh, vice chairperson of the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG), a state agency which coordinates the logistics of the film festival, said that the superstar could be one of the star attractions at this year's IFFI.

Actor Surya has donated Rs 6 lakh towards the purchase of dialysis machines. "Surya inaugurated a free dialysis centre by Tamil Nadu Kidney Research (TANKER) foundation in Sulur. He also donated Rs 6 lakh for the purchase of new dialysis machines," said Surya's agent.

First Time Directors Have Winning Attitude: Ashok Selvan
Tamil actor Ashok Selvan, who has worked with three debutant directors in back-to-back films such as Soodhu Kavvum, Pizza: Villa and Thegidi, says he finds a winning attitude in them.
"I haven't worked with experienced directors yet, and therefore, I can't compare them with newcomers. But one thing that I have noticed in first time directors is their urge to win. They work with a winning attitude and I admire it," Ashok told IANS.
Mysskin On Promotional Spree
He is travelling from one city to another, sticking posters of his film himself and thanking viewers. Filmmaker Mysskin is doing all this to promote his recently released Onayum Aatukuttiyum as he feels post-release marketing is equally important for a movie's success.
"Some films, despite rave reviews, don't draw audiences to cinemas. This is because of the limited shows of that particular film in a theatre or the lack of aggressive promotions. Therefore, it's important for such films to continue promoting post-release," Mysskin told IANS.
