Music
director

roped
in
SP
Balasubramaniam
and
Shankar
Mahadevan
to
croon
the
introduction
song
of
forthcoming
Tamil
film
Jilla.
They
have
recorded
the
number
last
week.
It
is
a
fast-paced
track,
which
talks
about
the
qualities
of
the
lead
stars
Vijay
and
Mohanlal.
It
is
high
on
energy
and
the
music
director
has
mainly
used
Chendai
(cylindrical
percussion
instrument)
beats.
While
Shankar
Mahadevan
has
crooned
for
the
lines
on
Vijay,
SP
Balasubramaniam
has
lent
his
voice
for
the
Malayalam
superstar.
"Though
the
two
singers
have
sung
together
earlier,
I'm
hoping
that
this
one
becomes
the
definitive
song
featuring
this
combo.
SPB
sir
has
sung
the
lines
for
Mohanlal,
while
Shankar
sir
has
crooned
Vijay's
lines.
I've
tried
to
make
the
song
musically
interesting
as
well.
Since
it
is
a
song
full
of
energy,
I've
used
chendai
beats,
which
are
normally
used
in
our
film
songs
in
the
background
as
the
predominant
beats," the
Times
of
India
quotes
the
music
director
as
saying.
Sources
say
that
the
song
has
come
out
well
and
it
could
be
the
highlight
of
the
Jilla
album.
The
audio
of
the
film
is
likely
to
hit
the
stands
on
December
18.
Jilla
stars
Vijay,
Mohanlal
and
Kajal
Aggarwal
in
the
lead
roles.
It
is
directed
by
Nesan
and
produced
by
RB
Chaudhary.
