Singer Chinmayi and actor Rahil Ravindran haved tied the knot today (May 5). The couple had a formal engagement on Sunday and their marriage has been performed as per the Hindu rituals in Chennai.

The couple, despite being busy with marriage and engagement works, were very active on Twitter. They were bombarded with congratulatory wishes all through the day.

Thanking their followers, Rahul Ravindran wrote, "Once again... Thanks for all the wishes u ppl have been sending here:) Lots of Chinmayi's fans and the few fans that I hve hve been asking.."

The engagement and the wedding have been carried out in a low-key manner as the couple doesn't want to spend unnecessary money on their wedding celebrations. They have only invited their close friends and relatives for their marriage.

Sources say that Chinmayi-Rahul Ravindran have requested people not to bring gifts but to donate the amount to the 17,000 ft Foundation, a charity organization in Ladakh. The couple doesn't want the guests to waste money on flower bouquets or other gifts rather make it a meaningful event by doing charity.
