6 Exciting Tamil Movies Are Releasing This Week! Which One Will Emerge As A Winner?

While last Friday witnessed the release of 11 Tamil movies, this week will see 6 straight Kollywood films making it to the theatres all over Tamil Nadu. Though all 6 movies are relatively low budget films, each of them have managed to create some kind of interest among the movie buffs.

1. Rajathandhiram

Rajathandhiram is a heist thriller directed by debutant AG Amid. The film gained recognition when Fox Star Studios acquired the distribution rights. Sandeep Chowta has taken care of the background score and GV Prakash has worked on the promo song. The film has Veera of Nadunisi Naaygal fame and Regina Cassandra in lead roles.

2. Mahabalipuram

With an ensemble cast that includes Karunakaran, Ramesh Thilak, Vetri, Vithika Sheru and Angana Roy, Mahabalipuram is touted to be a comedy entertainer, based on the real life events which had occurred at the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Directed by Don Sandy, the film's distribution rights were bought by Studio 9 Productions after it gained positive reviews at special screenings.

Fabricated by a young team, this movie might surprise the audience with its entertainment value. Watch out for Rajendran's role who will be posing himself as Mark.

Katham Katham

This movie revolves around two cops and the tactics they use to deal with corruption around them. With Nandha of Eeram fame and Natarajan Subramaniam aka Natty of Sathuranga Vettai fame in the lead, Katham Katham is directed by Babu Thooyavan.

Vaanavil Vaazhkai

Vaanavil Vaazhkai

Vaanavil Vaazhkai is touted to be a Broadway musical entertainer according to its director James Vasanthan. James has composed the music in this film featuring a bunch of newcomers which is about a campus life. James Vasanthan will be wielding the micro phone for the first time for a film which is said to have 19 songs.

Aivaraattam

Aivaraattam is directed by debutant Mithun Manickam. The film has Niranjan Jayaprakash and Nithya Shetty in lead roles. This sports based romantic entertainer will have its music composed by Swaminathan and is bankrolled by Subha Senthil.
