Renowned filmmaker and father of director Selvaraghavan and actor Dhanush, Kasthuri Raja has joined BJP, according to the latest report. He has enrolled himself into the party in Coimbatore in the presence of BJP's president Amit Shah.
"Kasthuri Raja has been impressed with the ways of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his administration skills. He would take the policies and principles of the BJP to the people. He feels that it is the right party to serve the nation", revealed a reliable source close to the veteran director.
Kasthuri Raja has directed 17 Tamil films so far in his career that started in 1991 with his movie En Rasavin Manasile starring Rajkiran and Meena in the lead roles. His last film as of now Idhu Kadhal Varum Paruvam, came in the year 2006 and Kasthuri Raja has been concentrating on his political career ever since.
Of late many prominent films personalities joined politics in an attempt to serve the nation. Famed actress Khushboo joined Congress not very long ago. BJP too has started to attract many celebrities. Yesteryear actor and Union Minister Napoleon too joined the Bharatiya Janata Party followed by music composer-lyricist Gangai Amaran.
