For an industry which boasted of brilliant historical flicks in the past, it is never a question of how. Yet, Kollywood today is depleted, when it comes to high quality historical films.

It's good that our industry has constantly evolved over the years, making it possible for us to witness films, that belong to genres like science-fiction and fantasy.

But how important is it for us not to forget our roots? Thanks to directors like SS Rajamouli, Telugu film industry is continuously making a mark with films that is close to our nativity.

It is high time Kollywood realizes the importance of such films, which will not only help us stamp our authority over the kind of films that originated in India, but also gain us global recognition.
