Dhanush's 'Vada Chennai' - A Trilogy Starts Rolling!

Dhanush-starrer Tamil gangster drama Vada Chennai, which will be made as part of a trilogy (3 films), went on the floors in Chennai on Wednesday (June 22).

"#Vadachennai - Trilogy. Started shooting for part one today. Director of 'Polladhavan', 'Aadukalam' @VetriMaaran. Bless us," Dhanush wrote on his official Twitter page.

The movie, which will be bankrolled by Lyca Productions and Wunderbar Films, will track 30 years in the life of a gangster.

The makers will film the first schedule at a large prison set, erected here in Binny Mills.

Dhanush is said to have set aside 200 days to shoot this project, which marks his third time collaboration with Vetrimaaran.

Vada Chennai also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Andrea Jeremiah, Samuthirakani and Daniel Balaji in important roles.

Meanwhile, Dhanush, who is currently shooting for Gautham Menon's Yennai Nokki Paayum Thotta, awaits the releases of Prabhu Solomon's Thodari and RS Durai Senthilkumar's Kodi.
