Filmmaker-choreographer
Farah
Khan,
who
is
known
for
her
Hindi
movies,
will
make
her
Tamil
acting
debut
in
AL
Vijay's
upcoming
film
Devi,
which
stars
Prabhu
Deva
and
Tamannaah
Bhatia
in
lead
roles.
The
trilingual
project,
which
will
be
simultaneously
made
in
Tamil,
Telugu
and
Hindi,
will
witness
the
51-year-old
film-maker
emulating
her
off-screen
self.
"This
particular
scene
in
the
film
required
a
choreographer
and
who
else
other
can
Farah
can
be
apt
for
the
role.
Her
presence
serves
as
big
strength
to
the
team," director
AL
Vijay
said
in
a
statement.
As
a
choreographer,
Farah
is
not
new
to
Tamil
film
industry
as
she
has
worked
in
a
couple
of
prominent
Tamil
movies
including
Mani
Ratnam's
Alaipayuthey
and
Shankar's
Nanban.
When
she
first
made
it
to
the
sets
of
Devi,
everyone
assumed
that
she
has
been
roped
in
to
choreograph
a
song.
The
revelation
of
her
making
her
Tamil
acting
debut
surprised
those
present.
"Vijay
has
been
shooting
with
Prabhudheva
and
Tamannaah
here
in
Mumbai
for
more
than
a
week
for
his
horror-drama.
Farah
Khan
was
roped
in
to
do
a
cameo
appearance
and
the
choreographer-director
was
seen
shooting
for
her
role.
When
she
dropped
by
the
set,
many
thought
that
she
had
come
to
choreograph
a
song
for
the
film.
It
was
then
revealed
that
she
would
be
doing
a
cameo,
which
surprised
the
onlookers," a
source
told
a
leading
English
daily.
Vijay
has
revealed
that
his
film
is
intended
to
surprise
everyone.
"Our
film
is
full
of
surprises.
If
it
was
Paul
Aaron
in
the
scripting,
Prabhudeva
and
Tamannaah
as
a
pair
in
the
casting,
here
it
is
Farah
Khan
in
the
guest
appearance," said
the
Madrasapattinam
director.
Farah
Khan
also
took
to
her
Twitter
page
to
confirm
the
news.
She
wrote,
"Such
fun
shooting
a
cameo
for
n
with
my
talented
friends
@SonuSood
@PDdancing
@tamannaahspeaks
n
director
Vijay.."
