Actor
Jayam
Ravi,
who
is
basking
in
the
success
of
his
recently
released
Thani
Oruvan
and
Miruthan,
has
said
his
upcoming
project
with
director
AL
Vijay
will
elevate
their
statuses
to
National
level.
While
Thani
Oruvan
was
watched
by
some
of
the
biggies
like
Salman
Khan,
Miruthan
too,
received
positive
reviews
for
attempting
a
movie
based
on
zombies
in
Tamil.
With
his
status
already
reaching
new
heights,
the
Romeo
Juliet
actor
has
claimed
that
Vijay
and
himself
will
go
on
to
get
National
recognition
once
their
yet
untitled
film
hits
the
big
screen.
"We're
joining
together
for
a
massive
action
commercial
entertainer.
The
project
will
elevate
our
status
to
national
level.
We
will
commence
work
on
this
project
as
soon
as
both
of
us
are
relieved
of
our
current
commitments," the
35-year-old
actor
said
in
a
statement.
Ravi
has
always
been
keen
to
work
with
the
Deiva
Thirumagal
director
and
that
it
was
their
respective
schedules
that
kept
them
apart.
"I've
always
wanted
to
work
with
Vijay,
because
his
presentation
will
suit
my
style
of
acting.
While
we've
been
planning
to
collaborate
for
a
long
time,
we
weren't
available
for
each
other
due
to
our
respective
commitments," he
has
said.
Rest
of
the
cast
and
crew
are
yet
to
be
finalized.
Interestingly,
few
months
ago,
there
were
speculations
that
claimed
Jayam
Ravi
will
be
joining
hands
with
Vijay
for
a
historical
action-adventure,
which
will
narrate
the
story
of
Lemuria
continent
(Kumari
Kandam),
which
is
also
known
as
the
lost
island.
However,
the
reports
were
rubbished
as
mere
rumours
from
sources
close
to
Jayam
Ravi.
The
actor,
who
is
currently
shooting
for
Bogan,
will
also
be
seen
in
Gautham
Menon's
upcoming
project.
He
is
also
expected
to
star
in
a
sci-fi
thriller,
to
be
directed
by
Sakthi
Soundararajan.
