Manikandan's Next Will Feature A 70-year-old In The Lead!

Manikandan, who won laurels for his directorial debut Kaaka Muttai, is in search of a 70-year-old actor for his next film, which will narrate the plight of farmers.

Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Manikandan has said this is the right time to helm the film. The project has been titled Kadaisi Vivasayi.

"I felt that this the right time to talk about the life of a farmer. 'Kadaisi Vivasayi' is a dramatic compilation of their life. The project is still in its nascent stage," he has said.

Sagar of Eros International will be bankrolling the movie.

"When Manikandan narrated the story, we believed it would strike the right cord with all audiences, regardless of age," Sagar has said.

Meanwhile, Manikandan awaits the release of Kuttrame Thandanai, which has Vidharth in the lead and Aandavan Kattalai, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Ritika Singh.
