Based on Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh's book series 'India's Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes', the Tamil-language biographical war drama had its much-anticipated grand theatrical release on 31st October 2024. The film seems to be continuing its rock-solid hold as it entered into its 2nd week of glorious theatrical run.

Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, Amaran - which chronicles the story of real-life superhero Major Mukund 'Maddy' Varadarajan - stars Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi in the lead. The film had a solid opening at the box office and collected around Rs 21.4 cr on day 1. Due to the positive word-of-mouth, the movie maintained its steady pace at ticket counters. As per Sacnilk, the film ended its 1st week of its rocking theatrical with a collection of approximately Rs 109.1 cr (nett).

According to the latest Sacnilk updates, Sivakarthikeyan-Sai Pallavi starrer Amaran has continued to shine bright on day 8. As the report suggests, the film raked in around Rs 3.77 cr today (day 8, second Thursday) till 8:05 pm (IST). As of now, the total nett collection stands at Rs 112.87 cr. To note, the night show numbers are yet to come.

Given the current buzz, the film might hit the Rs 115 cr-mark today itself. The film still needs to earn 2.13 cr on day 8 to hit the mark today itself.

According to reports, the digital rights of Amaran have been acquired by Netflix. The film is likely to premiere on the said OTT platform in the last week of November, as per reports. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
