Vettaiyan Box Office Collection Early Updates Day 7: Megastar Rajinikanth's latest pan-India biggie 'Vettaiyan' marks his 170th film as a lead actor. Directed by T.J. Gnanavel, the Tamil-language action-thriller also stars Amitabh Bachchan in an key role. For those unversed, Vettaiyan marks Big B's debut in the Tamil cinema.

Amid great expectations, the movie had a grand theatrical release on 10th October 2024 in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada language. Despite a roaring start at the box office, the film has been witnessing dip in its earning during weekdays. The current rain situation is Chennai is also affecting its box office numbers.

Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Tamil action-drama 'Vettaiyan' opened to a whopping box office collection of Rs 31.7 cr (including all languages) in India. The film saw a dip in numbers on Friday (day 2) and earned Rs 24 cr. On Saturday, the movie saw a growth by over 11%. But since Sunday, the numbers are dipping with each passing day.

According to Sacnilk, Rajinikanth's film managed to mint around Rs 4.3 cr, taking the toal estimated nett collection to Rs 114.65 cr in 6 days in India.

Amid the widespread rains in Tamil Nadu, Vettaiyan has been struggling to pull audiences to theatres. To note, the major box office contribution is coming from the Tamil region.

The film is expected to pick up pace in the coming days once the weather gets better. According to the latest Sacnilk report, Vettaiyan has managed to rake in around Rs 2.21 cr today (day 7) in India till 5:15 pm. As the film is set to complete its 1st week of theatrical today (Wednesday), the film is nearing to the Rs 120 cr mark at the domestic box office.
