Vettaiyan Box Office Collection Day 9 Early Updates: Megastar Rajinikanth's latest release 'Vettaiyan' has been having an underwhelming theatrical run. The current widespread rains are affecting the box office business of the T.J. Gnanavel directorial. The movie, which marks Thalaivar's 170th release, hit cinemas on 10th October 2024 in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada, ahead Of Dussehra 2024.

Starring Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Fassil and Rana Daggubati among others, the Tamil-language action-drama opened to mixed reviews from audiences and critics alike. The film collected Rs 31.7 cr (including all languages), followed by an over 24% drop on Friday.

Over the opening weekend, the movie raked in around Rs 26.75 cr on Saturday and Rs 22.3 cr on Sunday. Since Monday, the film has seen drastic dip in numbers. According to Sacnilk, Vettaiyan managed to mint approximately Rs 3.2 cr on 2nd Thursday, taking the total 8-day collection to Rs 122.15 cr in India.
