Dhruv Vikram, the son of popular actor Chiyaan Vikram and Shailaja, is an established actor now. The star kid made his acting debut with Adithya Varma, the official Tamil remake of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. Later, Dhruv co-starrer his father Vikram in the Amazon Prime Video original movie Mahaan, which is helmed by Karthik Subbaraj. Recently, it was confirmed that Dhruv Vikram has been considered for the leading role in the upcoming official Tamil remake of the acclaimed Bollywood film, Kill. The reports initially excited the actor's fans and cine goers. However, the recent updates suggest that the Bison Kaalamadan actor has walked out of the much-awaited project.
Dhruv Vikram Walks Out Of Kill Remake?
If the recent reports are to be believed, Dhruv Vikram decided to step down from the upcoming Tamil remake of Kill, owing to its extremely violent scenes. According to the grapevine, the young actor made this big career decision over the advice of director Mari Selvaraj, whom he considers his mentor. The rumour mills suggest that the acclaimed filmmaker advised Dhruv against being part of such a violent film, soon after doing a rooted drama like Bison Kaalamadan.
For the unversed, Kill is an action-thriller film which was premiered at IFFI 2023, and was later released in theaters in July 2024. Lakshya and Raghav Juya played the lead roles in the movie, which revolves around an NSG commando named Amrit, who travels to meet his girlfriend Tulika, after learning she is engaged to someone else. Dhruv Vikram was initially approached to play the role of Amrit, which is originally essayed by Lakshya, in the Tamil remake.
As per the reports, Dhruv Vikram is yet to sign his next film after Bison Kaalamadan's success. The star kid-turned-actor is reportedly planning to take it slow and is in no hurry to sign a new project.
