Jana Nayagan Tamil Nadu Pre-Release Business Locked: Thalapathy Vijay is all set to bid goodbye to film industry, to pursue a full-fledged career in politics. He is teaming up with renowned filmmaker H Vinoth, for his final outing in films. The project, which has been titled Jana Nayagan, is expected to hit the big screens during the Pongal season of 2026. Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu pre-release theatrical business of the film have been close.

As per the latest updates, the Tamil Nadu pre-release theatrical business of the upcoming Thalapathy Vijay starrer have been locked. If the recent reports are to be believed, the Tamil Nadu rights of Jana Nayagan have been sold for a whopping ₹106.5 crore. According to the grapevine, it is the highest ever post-release theatrical right deal ever cracked by a Tamil film, so far. In that case, a record-breaking opening is guaranteed for Vijay's action-packed entertainer.

While considering the massive pre-release business in the theatrical rights, it is also safe to assume that Jana Nayagan is going to rewrite the history with its massive screen count. The Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, and North Indian distributions rights are also expected be sold for huge amounts. In that case, the total pre-release business itself is more than enough to cover the budget of the Thalapathy Vijay starrer.

Meanwhile, the makers are planning to conduct a never-seen-before audio release event for the H Vinoth directorial, on December 27, 2025, at the famous Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event is expected to have a concert led by music composer, titled 'Thalapathy Kacheri', which will consist of some of the best songs from leading man Vijay's acting career.

Jana Nayagan features Pooja Hegde and Mamitha Baiju as the female leads. Bobby Deol plays the lead antagonist in the film, which stars Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priya Mani, Narain, Reba Monica John, Revathi, Teejay Arunasalam, and others in the supporting roles. The Thalapathy Vijay starrer is bankrolled by KVN Productions.
