Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) OTT Rights Remain Unsold; Pradeep Ranganathan’s Film To Go Ahead With Release?

Love Insurance Kompany aka LIK, the upcoming science fiction romantic comedy film which features Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role, is one of the most anticipated Tamil films of the year. The movie, helmed by filmmaker-lyricist Vignesh Shivan is gearing up to hit the theatres on 18 December 2025, as a Christmas special release. However, the recent updates suggest that Love Insurance Kompany's OTT and digital rights are currently in trouble.

If the latest updates are to be believed, the Pradeep Ranganathan starrer's OTT and digital rights remain unsold, even though less than a month is left for its release. This update came out as a big surprise for the film fanatics and industry members, as the leading man has been having a dream run at the box office, especially this year.

Love Insurance Kompany to release as planned

Pradeep Ranganathan had a fantastic run at the movies lately, with his last two releases, Dragon and Dude, earning the blockbuster status at the box office. However, the actor-filmmaker's dream run is not benefitting his next outing, Love Insurance Kompany. If the reports are to be believed, this new roadblock in cracking OTT and digital deals has not prevented the makers from going ahead with the release.

As per the latest updates, director Vignesh Shivan and the producers of Love Insurance Kompany are planning to release the film on 18 December, 2025, as they are quite confident about the film. However, the industry insiders are considering this a very bold decision, as none of the recent Tamil films have hit the big screens before the teams locked their digital and OTT deals.

The movie, which features Pradeep Ranganathan as the protagonist, revolves around a young man who travels to the future for his lover. Krithi Shetty appears as the female lead in the film, which stars SJ Suryah as the lead antagonist. Yogi Babu, Seeman, Gouri G Kishan, Mysskin, Anandaraj, Sunil Reddy, and others essay the supporting roles. Anirudh Ravichander composed the songs and original score for the film.
