Padayappa Re-release Box Office Collection Day 3: Rajinikanth's blockbuster mass entertainer, directed by KS Ravikumar, made a grand comeback to the big screens on the legend's 75th birthday. Padayappa 4K version, which was re-released on December 12, 2025, has now astonished the cinephiles and film industry members with its extraordinary performance at the worldwide box office. Despite releasing in limited screens, the Rajinikanth starrer is now on a rampage mode at the box office.

As per the recent updates by the box office trackers Filmy Track's X (formerly Twitter) post, Padayappa re-release version has now crossed the glorious ₹15 crore mark at the worldwide box office. The Rajinikanth starrer made this achievement just within the first 3 days of its release. Thus, the KS Ravikumar directorial has surpassed the lifetime collections of most of the re-released films in Tamil, including Thalapathy Vijay's Sachein.

The recent updates suggest that Padayappa 4K collected over ₹12 crore from Tamil Nadu alone, in just 3 days. The Kerala gross collection of Rajinikanth's iconic film now stands at ₹0.45 crore, while the movie collected around ₹0.45 crore from the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, together. The Karnataka box office collection has crossed ₹1.10 crore, while the the movie collected ₹1.50 crore from the Rest Of India centers.

Padayappa Cast And Crew

Rajinikanth played the role of Aaru Padayappan aka 'Padayappa', the loving and responsible son of Dharmalingam and Savithri, in the KS Ravikumar directorial. After he rejects the advances of the foreign-returned, arrogant Neelambari, Padayappa's family is stricken by a series of unfortunate events, including his father's sudden death. How the protagonist saves himself and his family from a terrible fate, forms the crux of the story.

Legendary actors Shivaji Ganesan and Lakshmi essayed the roles of Padayappa's parents in the film, while Ramya Krishnan played the lead antagonist Neelambari. Soundarya appeared as Vasundhara, the protagonist's love interest-turned-wife. The blockbuster film featured a massive star cast including Nassar, Manivannan, Sithara, Radha Ravi, Vadivukarasi, Prakash Raj, Sathyapriya, Senthil, Abbas, Mansoor Ali Khan, Abbas, Preetha Vijayakumar, and others.

AR Rahman composed the songs and original score of the Rajinikanth film. S Murthi Prasad is the director of photography. K Thanigachalam handled the editing. Padayappa is produced by the prestigious yesteryear banner Arunachala Cine Creations.
