Parasakthi Gets A New Release Date, Setback For Jana Nayagan? The much-awaited Sivakarthikeyan starrer directed by Sudha Kongara is gearing up to be released earlier than expected. The makers recently confirmed that Parasakthi will hit the theatres on January 10, 2026. However, this might end up as a major threat for Jana Nayagan, the upcoming Thalapathy Vijay film directed by H Vinoth.

Parasakthi Gets A New Release Date, Jana Nayagan Faces A Setback?

Recently, Dawn Pictures took to their official social media handles and confirmed that Parasakthi will hit the theatres earlier. The Sivakarthikeyan film, which was supposed to be released on January 14, 2026, is now hitting the theatres on January 10, 2026. The Sudha Kongara film will now directly clash with Jana Nayagan, which is expected to mark Thalapathy Vijay's final outing in cinema before his political entry.

However, when we look at the big picture, the H Vinoth directorial, which was touted to be the biggest ever release of Tamil cinema, is facing a major threat because of Parasakthi's early arrival. As per the reports, this might directly impact the screen count of Thalapathy Vijay starrer, both in Tamil Nadu and across the globe.

While Vijay's strong areas, including Kerala might not get affected by Parasakthi, things are different in Tamil Nadu. The Sivakarthikeyan starrer has been pushed to get equal number of screens as Jana Nayagan, in the state. With its Telugu and Hindi releases already facing major troubles, this is not a good news for director H Vinoth's ambitious film.

Parasakthi Cast And Crew

Sivakarthikeyan is set to play the protagonist Chezhaiyan in the Sudha Kongara film, which is set against the backdrop of the Madras city in the 1960s. Sreeleela plays the female lead in the film, which stars Ravi Mohan as the lead antagonist. Atharvaa plays a key role in Parasakthi, which features Rana Daggubati, Kulapulli Leela, Guru Somasundaram, Dev Ramnath, Prithvi Rajan, and others in key roles. GV Prakash Kumar composed the music score for the film, which is bankrolled by Dawn Pictures.
