Parasakthi Is NOT Getting A New Release Date; Plot Revealed: Sudha Kongara, the National Award-winning filmmaker is all set to make a grand comeback to big screens, with the political historical drama film. Sivakarthikeyan and Sreeleela essay the lead roles in the film, which stars Ravi Mohan and Atharvaa in the pivotal roles. Recent updates on the Parasakthi release date and the film's plot, are now going viral on social media.

Parasakthi Is NOT Getting A New Release Date

Recently, it was rumoured that Parasakthi is getting a new release date. According to the grapevine, the Sivakarthikeyan starrer's release was getting pushed a week earlier, to the first week of January 2026. However, the sources close to the Sudha Kongara directorial rubbished these reports recently. As per the latest updates, Parasakthi is not getting a new release date, and is about to hit the theatres on January 14, 2026, as planned earlier.

Parasakthi Plot Revealed

Meanwhile, the most anticipated Parasakthi plot has been revealed on social media, after the screenshots of a booking platform went viral. As per the reports, the Sivakarthikeyan starrer is "set in the time of civil disobedience on the erstwhile Madras state." The movie revolves around a ruthless officer turns up to track down the rebels in the state, Chezhian and his brother Chinna Durai, who have drastically different personalities, are dragged into this battle of justice. Soon, Chezhian, a peaceful man initially, is forced to abandon his peaceful nature to protect his people.

As per the reports, Sivakarthikeyan plays the protagonist in the film, which stars Atharvaa in a key role, and Sreeleela as the female lead. Ravi Mohan (formerly Jayam Ravi) is reportedly appearing as the lead antagonist in the movie, which is gearing up to hit the theatres on January 14, 2026, on the special occasion of Thai Pongal. The long-awaited official trailer of Parasakthi is expected to be out by the beginning of January 2026.
