Parasakthi pre-release business crosses ₹100 crore mark: Sivakarthikeyan is gearing up to make a comeback to the big screens, with the period political drama film. Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongar, has been garnering the attention of viewers with its promising teaser and songs. As per the reports, the much-awaited film has now crossed ₹100 crore mark, just with its pre-release business.

As per the recent updates by the trade experts, Parasakthi has been creating a huge buzz in the Tamil film industry with its massive pre-release business. The recent X (formerly Twitter) post by Tamil cinema publicist Prem Kumar Sundaramurthi, the Sivakarthikeyan starrer has collected over ₹103 crore with its digital rights, satellite rights and audio rights. The Parasakthi OTT rights was bagged by Zee5 for a whopping price of ₹52 crore.

While considering the new updates, it is safe to assume that the Sudha Kongara directorial is a sure shot winner from the Tamil film industry in 2026. Despite release just a week after the upcoming Thalapathy Vijay starrer Jana Nayagan, Parasakthi has clearly succeeded in creating a major pre-release hype among the cinephiles and common audiences, just with its promotional materials including the unique posters and songs.

Parasakthi: All You Need To Know

According to the reports, Parasakthi is set against the backdrop of the Madras city in the 1965, and revolves around the Anti-Hindi agitations in Madras which was powered by the students movement. Sivakarthikeyan plays the role of Chezhaiyan, a peaceful man who eventually becomes the students' leader in the Sudha Kongara project, while Ravi Mohan aka Jayam Ravi plays the lead antagonist, a ruthless policeman.

Sreeleela essays the role of Chezhaiyan's love interest, while Atharvaa plays a pivotal role in the period political drama. The project features a massive star cast including Rana Daggubati, Kulappulli Leela, Dev Ramnath, Prithvi Rajan, Guru Somasundaram, Shaji Chen, and others in the key roles. GV Prakash Kumar has composed the songs and original score for the film, which is bankrolled by Dawn Pictures.
