Jio Hotstar Announces New Slate Of South Originals: The four film industries in the South, including Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada cinema, has been making headlines with the excellent content they have been producing in the recent years. Now, at the recently held star-studded Jio Hotstar South Unbound event, the streaming giant has revealed its new slate of South originals.
Pharma, Kaattan & More: New Jio Hotstar Originals Reveals
At the recently held Jio Hotstar South Unbound event, the renowned OTT platform announced its new slate of South original, to the much delight of the cinephiles. Interestingly, the platform is all set to produce over 25 originals, which majorly includes web series from the Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada film industries. Jio Hotstar has also announced that the platform will invest over ₹12,000 crore on South film industries, for the next 5 years.
The upcoming South slate of Jio Hotstar includes several highly anticipated projects, including the Nivin Pauly starrer Pharma, Lucky headlined by GV Prakash Kumar and Anaswara Rajan, Kerala Crime Files Season 3 headlined by Aju Varghese, Telugu thriller series Vikram On Duty, Batchmates, Varam, 1000 Babies Season 2, Yogi Babu's Kenatha Kaanom, Resort, Heart Beat Season 3, Vijay Sethupathi's Kaattan, Gouri G Kishan starrer Love Always, Lingam headlined by Kathir, Second Love, Vikrant's LBW, Save The Tigers, and many more.
Reportedly, the Government of Tamil Nadu and JioHotstar also formalized the Letter of Intent at the South Unbound event, in the presence of Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin , Hon'ble Minister of Tamil Development, Information and Publicity Thiru M.P Saminathan , Hon'ble Member of Parliament Padma Bhushan Thiru.
