Sirai, which revolves around the interactions between a cop and a prisoner, features LK Akshay Kumar in a key role, while Malayali actress Anshima Anilkumar plays the female lead. As per the latest updates, Sirai has highly impressed the Tamil cinema audiences, especially the film fanatics who love crisp police stories. The audiences suggest that Vikram Prabhu has delivered his career best performance yet, in Suresh Rajakumar's film. They are also praising the casting of LK Akshay Kumar and leading lady Anshima Anilkumar's casting in the film, as well as their performances in their respective roles.

However, the audiences have mixed opinions about the narrative, and the making of the Suresh Rajakumari directorial. According to the cinephiles, Sirai falls into a less-engaging mode towards the second half, and concludes in a dull climax. According to some viewers, the Vikram Prabhu starrer kept them guessing till the very end, but that was not enough to engage with the narrative, which faltered at parts.

Vikram Prabhu essayed the role of Constable V Kathiravan in Sirai, which features LK Akshay Kumar as Abdul Rauf. Sirai is jointly scripted by Tamil and director Suresh Rajakumari. Justin Prabhakaran composed the songs and the original score for the film. Madhesh Manickam is the director of photography.
