Authorities have put strict police restrictions, crowd monitoring, and safety protocols in place to avoid any overcrowding or safety lapses.
According to reports, Puducherry Police had initially refused approval for the roadshow, citing the area's tight lanes and restricted space. The green signal was granted only after authorities enforced a stringent list of conditions to ensure safety and crowd control.
The Puducherry Police has granted permission for the rally at the Expo Ground, but with strict crowd-control measures in place. Attendance has been capped at 5,000 people, all of whom must be residents of the Union Territory. Senior Superintendent of Police (Law & Order) R. Kalaivanan confirmed that the issued guidelines are mandatory and will be enforced throughout the event.
As part of the safety protocol, children, pregnant women, senior citizens, and individuals with health concerns will not be allowed inside the venue. As mentioned earlier, attendance at today's Puducherry rally is highly regulated, and only a limited section of the public will be allowed inside. Entry has been made completely QR-code-based, with TVK officials distributing these passes exclusively to verified party workers and Puducherry residents ahead of the event.
Supporters hoping to be part of the gathering were required to secure their QR code beforehand, as on-spot entry is not permitted. Authorities have also cautioned that if the crowd reaches the sanctioned limit, even valid QR codes may not ensure access, keeping safety and crowd control as the top priority.
