As per the latest reports, the CBFC revising committee has now finally decided to watch Jana Nayagan, after all the long delays. According to the reports, the new committee is planning to review the film on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, mostly by the second half of the day. The Thalapathy Vijay fans and Tamil cinephiles are now eagerly waiting for a new update on the same.

What Is In Store For Jana Nayagan?

If the CBFC revising committee finally manages to watch Jana Nayagan on March 17, 2026, as planned, an official confirmation on the same will be out by the end of the day. If the censor board revisits the film on the expected day, a censor certificate will be ideally issued withing a time span of two weeks. In that case, Thalapathy Vijay's final film might finally receive its censor certificate by the first week of April 2026.

As per the latest reports, the Jana Nayagan team is planning to release the film soon after the Tamil Nadu assembly elections, if it receives a censor clearance withing the first two weeks of April 2026. In that case, it is safe to assume that Thalapathy Vijay's long delayed film might hit the theatres at last, by the final week of April 2026, or the first week of May 2026. An official announcement on the same are expected to be out soon.
