According to the grapevine, the makers of the upcoming Thalapathy Vijay starrer have already finalised the film's OTT release date. If the rumous are to be believed, Jana Nayagan is slated to have its digital debut on the popular streaming platform Amazon Prime Video, on Friday, February 6, 2026. Some unconfirmed reports suggest that the H Vinoth directorial's OTT release date was finalised much earlier, and the film just gets a theatrical window of maximum 30 days.

As reported earlier, the Jana Nayagan OTT rights have been bagged by Amazon Prime Video, for a whopping price. Earlier, the sources close to the platform had revealed to Filmibeat that the OTT streaming rights of the Thalapathy Vijay's final film were sold for a whopping price of over ₹110 crore. Interestingly, it is one of the all-time highest OTT rights price received by a Tamil film, yet.

Jana Nayagan Plot, Cast And Crew

The Thalapathy Vijay starrer, which is an adaptation of the Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer Bhagvanth Kesari, revolves around the deep bond between the protagonist 'Thalapathy' Vetri Kondan, and his foster daughter Viji Srikanth. When Viji opposes his idea of her joining the armed forces, the leading man gets into a mission to find out the reason behind her deep fear.

Vijay plays the role of 'Thalapathy' Vetri Kondan in the film, which stars Mamitha Baiju in the role of Viji. Pooja Hegde plays Vetri's love interest Kayal in the film, which stars Bobby Deol as the lead antagonist. Gautham Vasudev Menon plays Viji's biological father Srikanth in the film, which stars Prakash Raj, Priya Mani, Narain, Nassar, Sunil, and others in key roles.
