Jana Nayagan To Get A February Release; Makers Take A BIG Decision? The highly anticipated Thalapathy Vijay starrer, directed by H Vinoth, has been making headlines lately due to issues regarding its censor certification. As you may know, Jana Nayagan has been delayed indefinitely now, after the censor board refused to issue its certificate.

The makers of the film had approached the Madras High Court to resolve the issue the earliest, but it has only worsened the situation. As per the reports, Jana Nayagan team is reportedly planning to withdraw the case now, and is eager to release the film in February 2026.

Jana Nayagan To Get A February Release?

If the reports are to be believed, KVN Productions, which bankrolled the Thalapathy Vijay starrer is now eagerly considering withdrawing the legal case against censor board. The makers are planning this move, to ensure a February 2026 release for Jana Nayagan. They are reportedly considering to release the film on February 5 or February 12, 2026.

According to the recent reports by Movies Singapore X handle, KVN Productions is hoping that a revising committee will be formed quickly to censor the film and issue the certificate, soon after they withdraw the case. Reportedly, there need to be a 2-week window after all the issues are resolved, to release Jana Nayagan in theatres.

The recent updates also suggests that a representative of KVN Productions is in Chennai currently, attending multiple meetings to fasten the Jana Nayagan release. Reportedly, in a meeting with Tamil Nadu distributors, the makers have agreed to lower the ₹109 crore MG amount.

Reportedly, the makers of Thalapathy Vijay's film made this big decision, as the film missed the Pongal window and distributors are paying additional interest to financers. However, the Kerala distributor also remains committed to the film. If things get sorted soon, we can expect an official announcement on Jana Nayagan release date, anytime soon.
