Karuppu, which reportedly features the National award-winning actor in the titular role, is gearing up to have a May 2026 release. Interestingly, the Suriya starrer is now garnering the attention of cinephiles with its massive pre-release business.

The Karuppu OTT streaming rights are bagged by the Amazon Prime Video for a whopping. The post-theatrical satellite rights of the upcoming Suriya starrer are reportedly sold to Zee TV, for an equally impressive price. Now, the latest reports from the trade experts suggest that the upcoming action thriller has collected over ₹110 crore with its pre-release business. This massive collection clearly hints that Karuppu is going to be a profitable venture, irrespective of its box office performance.

Karuppu Plot, Cast And Crew

If the reports are to be believed, Suriya plays the central character Karuppu Swami in the RJ Balaji directorial. According to the Karuppu plot that has been doing rounds on social media, "In a world where justice falters, a powerful guardian awakens.. A superhuman rises in a rotten world to set things right in this high-octane fantasy entertainer."

Trisha Krishnan appears as the female lead opposite Suriya in Karuppu, which stars Malayalam actor Indrans, Yogi Babu, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Anagha Maaya Ravi, Supreeth Reddy, and others in the key roles. Sai Abhyankkar has composed the songs and the original score for the film, which is bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures.
