The most awaited sci-fi romantic comedy film, which marks the first collaboration of Pradeep Ranganathan and director Vignesh Shivan, has been under production from a very long time. Love Insurance Kompany, which was originally supposed to be released in October 2025, was recently slated to hit the theatres on April 2, 2026. But now, recent reports suggest that LIK is postponed again.

If the recent reports are to be believed, the LIK release has been pushed to a new date due to some unexpected issues with the film's censorship. The new updates have left the fans of Pradeep Rangathan and director Vignesh Shivan, who have been eagerly waiting for the film, extremely disappointed.

However, the recent updates also suggest that LIK is not delayed again due to any technical issues. According to the grapevine, the release of Love Insurance Kompany has been put on hold yet again, as the movie has not cleared it Malaysian censor formalities, yet. The Pradeep Ranganathan starrer cannot skip the Malaysia release, as it is one of the largest markets for the Tamil films.

Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) New Release Date Update

The Vignesh Shivan directorial is yet to complete its Malaysian censor formalities, and that makes the April 2, 2026 release impossible for the film. The makers have reportedly informed all stake holders that the delay happened because the Malaysian censor board is closed till March 30, 2026 for Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations. The censor formalities will begin only after the board reopens. If things go smoothly, Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) will hit the theatres on April 10, 2026.

Pradeep Ranganathan appears as the central character in the Vignesh Shivan directorial, which stars Krithi Shetty as the female lead. LIK features SJ Suryah, Yogi Babu, Gouri G Kishan, Seeman, Shah Ra, Mysskin, Anandaraj, Sunil Reddy, and others essay in supporting roles.
