For the uninitiated, Uma is also an accomplished artist who is proficient in both Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi. She is also the founder of Subhasheela Academy of Fine Arts, and the winner of the prestigious Kalaimamani award.

The couple was blessed with two daughters, before they ultimately parted ways and filed for divorce, due to irreconcilable differences. If the reports are to be believed, Murali Krishna slowly started drifting away from his career, and devoted all his time to accompanying his mother, after his marriage fell apart. As reported earlier, both S Janaki and her son have been leading a quiet life from a long time, away from the public eye.

The late artist, who possessed a deep love for both cinema and dance, was a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and an actor. He had performed at innumerable stages over the years. He has also appeared in a few films, including Vinayakudu and Mallepuvvu. However, Murali Krishna was unable to make it big in films, and soon started focusing in theatre plays and dance performances.
