Thalapathy Vijay, however, is going through a tough time in both his career and personal life after the Karur rally stampede, with the unexpected delay in the release of his final film Jana Nayagan, and divorce with wife Sangeetha Sornalingam.
For the uninitiated, Sangeetha's divorce petition against Vijay, which was leaked online recently, has alleged that the actor-politician has been having a illicit affair with a popular actor. Later, the TVK Chief strengthened these rumours when he arrived at a wedding reception with his rumoured girlfriend, actress Trisha Krishnan. But now, Vijay has revealed that he left "everything" for politics.

The actor-politician, who is well known for his fiery speeches that have created a massive stir among his fans and followers, recently addressed them yet again at a TVK meeting. Thalapathy Vijay, who usually maintains a calm demeanor in his public events, delivered a slightly emotional speech this time. The Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam leader dropped a small hint about his personal life, leaving his fans concerned.
Thalapathy Vijay, who addressed the TVK followers, stated: "I have left everything for politics." Later, he further added: "I don't have anything left now, other than politics." The popular star's fans and admires now think that he was indeed hinting at leaving his wife Sangeetha and family (including his estranged kids Jason Sanjay and Divya Saasha), who were rumoured to be against his political ambitions, for pursuing a career in the field.
Previously, when Thalapathy Vijay addressed his followers at the Women's Day meeting conducted by TVK, the actor-politician had addressed his issues surrounding his personal life. The actor asked the fans to not fight against the allegations on his behalf, as seeing them hurt is more painful for him. Vijay also added that "those issues are not worth the hurt," leaving the netizens and Sangeetha's supporters highly disappointed.
