The new reports suggest that much-loved glimpse video of Thalapathy Vijay's film has been re-censored, before the film itself got submitted before the revising committee of the censor board.

The netizens, who watched the new Jana Nayagan trailer on theatres, took to their X (formerly Twitter) handles and confirmed that some words were muted in the updated version. Some others suggest that the trailer has undergone little changes when it comes to its scene placements also. However, there are no updates on the online release of the Thalapathy Vijay starrer's updated trailer, yet.

Jana Nayagan Get Re-Censored; New Release Date Update Soon

As reported earlier, the legal battle surrounding Thalapathy Vijay's final film have officially come to an end, after the makers withdrew their petition against the censor board. A new revising committee appointed by the censor board is now reviewing Jana Nayagan again, for the re-censoring purposes. The censor certificate for the film is expected to get issued in a few days.

If things go at the same rate, H Vinoth's film has high chances to get released on 19th or 20th of February 2026. But, if Jana Nayagan fails to hit the theatres in February 2026, Thalapathy Vijay's film might get postponed to May 2026 due to the Tamil Nadu elections. A final decision on the film's release date will be made only after the CBFC team issues the censor certificate.
