Vaa Vaathiyaar Vs Parasakthi Box Office Collection Day 2: The highly anticipated Karthi starrer directed by Nalan Kumarasamy release on January 14, 2026. The movie, which released after multiple delays, made a decent start at the box office. Even though Vaa Vaathiyaar has witnessed a rise in its collections in India on Day 2, the Karthi starrer has failed to beat the same of Parasakthi, the Sivakarthikeyan starrer.

The recent updates by Sacnilk, Vaa Vaathiyaar has made a net collection of around ₹1.65 crore from India, on Day 1. As expected, the Karthi starrer directed by Nalan Kumarasamy has witnessed a significant rise in its domestic (all-India) collection on Day 2, by earning over ₹1.89 crore as the net collection. However, Vaa Vaathiyaar has still failed to beat the Day 2 collections of Parasakthi.

As per the early reports by Sacnilk, the Sivakarthikeyan film directed by Sudha Kongara had made a net collection of around ₹10.1 crore from the India box office, on its Day 2 in theatres. Even though Parasakthi witnessed a slight dip on second day compared to its opening collection, the movie still succeeded in collecting a double digit figure. Karthi's film has evidently not managed to do the same, yet.

While considering the current box office trends, Parasakthi is expected to show improvement in its collection during the second weekend, after the week days dip. Vaa Vaathiyaar, on the other hand, has been showing signs of major improvement as the Pongal 2026 holidays began. The positive reviews and word-of-mouth publicity is expected to ensure a smooth run for the Karthi film in the upcoming days.

Karthi plays the central character Ramu aka DSP Rameshwaran in Vaa Vaathiyaar, which features Krithi Shetty as the female lead. Rajkiran, Sathyaraj, Nizhalgal Ravi, Anandaraj, Shilpa Manjunath, Karunakaran, GM Sundar, Ramesh Thilak, PL Thenappan, and other appear in the supporting roles in the film. Santhosh Narayanan composed the songs and original score for the Nalan Kumarasamy film, which is bankrolled by Studio Green.
